2013 Chevy bedside vs a tree
I’d say the tree won but PDR prevailed in the end. This was a pretty involved repair. I worked on it on two different days…a service truck has to be back in service ASAP!!! The body line, as you can see, was totally rubbed flat and shoved into the large pronounced crown. If you look close, you can see the factory bodyline emerging from the crowned up area. Lots of blending to get this one loosened up and moving. Access was through the taillight cavity which was ample for damage this large and close to the rear of the bedside. I polished the area lightly to get all the tree goo off prior to the repair process and post repair to put the factory shine back. This is one of those vehicles that has been cared for all its life…especially the cammed up 6.0 liter they put in recently. Fun job all in all but definitely a challenge.
